HGTV visited Isla Mujeres

recently to film homes for their new up and coming television series "Live here, Buy this". The episode will focus on two homes in the over one million dollar price range. The two homes filmed on Isla Mujeres for their new program were Castillo del Candelabro and Casa Morocco. Host Shantelle Canzanese and Jim Botaish the broker/owner of RE/MAX ISLA, located on Isla Mujeres, will give you an armchair tour of the two magnificent homes.

Castillo del Candelabro is a luxurious 5 bedroom retreat, which includes a separate guest house, located towards the South Point of Isla Mujeres. Casa Morocco is a 4 bedroom beachfront Villa that exhibits meticulous and intricate detail blending rich African and middle-eastern architecture of the highest quality and craftsmanship. Both of the homes are offered by RE/MAX ISLA.

The filming of the two properties took two days and the film crew then spent a few more days filming points of interest on the Island of Isla Mujeres. Crews have already shot episodes in Italy, Croatia, Spain, Portugal, Costa Rica and California besides Mexico. The HGTV episode featuring the two homes on Isla Mujeres should air sometime later this year. HGTV is viewed in over 89 million households in North America and can also be seen in 48 countries worldwide. With that type of exposure HGTV is sure to help with the publicity for Isla Mujeres and this filming should have a positive affect for the tourism on the Island.
